Animal activists have broken into more than 10 locations across Australia to release a still increasing number of cats from Cat Havens due to the post Xmas flush of unwanted cat gifts.

Since their freedom, cats have been sighted at tourist destinations across the country which inadvertently has resulted in a disruption to surrounding ecosystems. An increase in mice and dogs have now also been reported; resulting in animal control teams to be dispatched.
